On June 27, 2020, the Mapanao Family launched “Vernissage,” a photography exhibition featuring the works of Bryan Rigg at their coffee shop, Viverra Coffee, in Geneva, Switzerland. All the proceeds of this showcase will benefit the Chosen Children Village Foundation, Inc. (CCV), an orphanage for disabled children in the Philippines.

The opening was attended by members of the local community, including Ambassador Evan Garcia.

Rigg is one of the members of the CCV Board of Trustees. His photographs feature the natural landscape of the Philippines as well as abstract subjects. One of his most popular prints is called “Water Lillies.” The photographs can also be printed as postcards, which buyers can give to their friends.

Chosen Children Village is a haven for abandoned, neglected, and surrendered children with physical and mental disabilities. It has been badly affected by the eruption of the Taal Volcano (a mere 8 kilometers away from the village) last January 12th. And although it remains free of the COVID-19 virus, the village’s financial situation is being impacted by the pandemic.

As such, the village would like to send their warmest thanks to Mr. & Mrs. Donnie & Maribel Mapanao, their children Abigayle & Alvin, Justin, Isabelle, and their grandson Aiden for generously sponsoring this exhibition. A special “Thank You” also goes out to Ms. Luz Caguioa for her unwavering support. Without your selfless work, this fundraising would not be possible.
